The Violence Reduction Unit is an alliance of organisations working together to reduce violence within the West Midlands. We are seeking a Data and Performance Analyst to come and join the Unit, hosted by the Police and Crime Commissioner. This role is fixed term contract until 31 March 2021.
We are looking for a Data Analyst to support ongoing work in the West Midlands Violence Reduction Unit, to support the delivery of the joint strategic needs assessment and provide detailed analysis and forecasting of trends and issues. You will need to have strong analytical skills, advise on policy and statistical information, be able to quickly digest complex information to make recommendations, and conduct or commission research to meet identified need. We are particularly seeking candidates with an understanding of data within health, criminal justice or education systems, or with transferrable skills to the types of information that are held within those sectors. Working with both internal and external audiences you will need to have strong communication and relationship building skills as well as be able to express complex ideas clearly for non-specialists.
